AN inquest into the death of a man following a crash in Knutsford has been suspended again due to ongoing criminal proceedings.
Motorcyclist Anthony Jones, 57, was fatally injured in a collision involving two cars and a motorbike on Chester Road in Tabley, back in November 21, 2021.
Mr Jones, from Stockport, tragically died the following day in Manchester Royal Infirmary.
An inquest had been opened on November 26, 2021, but was suspended after a man was charged in connection with the incident.
Dean McKeon, 27, of Kings Weston Lane, Bristol, has been charged with causing the death of Mr Jones by dangerous driving.
The defendant was remanded on conditional bail at Chester Crown Court on June 12.
A five-day trial is set to be held on May 26, 2025.
Victoria Davies, area coroner for Cheshire Coroners’ Court suspended the inquest again at a hearing in Warrington on Wednesday.
Miss Davies said: “A request has been made for the suspension to be extended until June 30, 2025, due to ongoing criminal proceedings.”
