A WOMAN has been hit with a £1,000 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Rebecca Smith, of Broad Oak Lane, Mobberley, was found guilty of the offence at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on June 18.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a BMW vehicle on December 19, last year.
The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.
Smith was fined £660 and ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
Her driving licence was also endorsed with six points.
The defendant was given until July 30 to pay the £1,014 court bill.
