TICKETS for an illuminated family favourite Christmas tradition are officially on sale ahead of its opening in November.

Christmas at Dunham Massey is an after-dark illuminated festive trail that is located on the grounds of the historic Grade I listed building.

This year, the trail will open on Friday, November 15 and run until Wednesday, January 1 – and it is advised to book in advance due to its popularity.

“This year’s trail will be a fantastic combination of spectacular new creations and some classic favourites, which will delight visitors young and old in what has become a Christmas family tradition for so many people,” said Matthew Findlay, head of UK Trails for Sony Music/Raymond Gubbay Ltd.

“Positive public feedback was overwhelming last year, and we urge everyone to come and see out exciting installations for 2024.”

Colour-changing battens, a tunnel followed with stars and a glittering display across the lake are just some of the lights being added to the route this year.

“We’re delighted to welcome people back to Christmas at Dunham Massey for 2024,” said Georgina Lofthouse, general manager at National Trust Dunham Massey.

“Whether it’s already part of your festive traditions, or you’re visiting for the first time, there’s lots for all the family to enjoy as the gardens are transformed with magical sparkle.

“As a charity, every ticket sold supports us to look after this special place for everyone to enjoy, from caring for the deer herd to ensuring the long-term future of the historic collection inside the house.”

Tickets start at £12.50 for children aged 3 to 16 and £19 for adults, and parking will cost £8 for non-National Trust members.

Entry is set to start at 4.30pm each day and be open until 8.30pm, before the route closes at 10pm – although times may vary.
