IMAGINATIVE young photographers have been challenged to demonstrate their creative skills.
Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership is repeating their Through The Train Window during the school summer holidays.
All entries must be taken through a train window – either from a platform or train but the platform and train must be part of the Mid Cheshire Railway Line.

John Horsley, an experienced amateur photographer and member of Knutsford Photography Society will once again be the judge.
The competition runs from Monday, July 22, until at midnight on September 20.
The competition is aimed at encouraging rail travel and discovering the cities, towns, attractions, and countryside that can be accessed along the line from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester via Altrincham.
Community rail officer Sarah Muir said: “We hope this competition uncovers some budding photographers in our community.
“We will be judging entries in the following age groups – five-11, 11-18 and 18 plus.
“A huge thanks to John for offering to judge the competition again. He does such a brilliant job.
“There is plenty of variety along our line, countryside to city, market town to canals.
“You can photograph from inside a train or from the platform – people, landscapes, or buildings, just get creative and get snapping.”
Full entry details can be found on the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership website from July 22.
All entries can be uploaded on to social media using the #throughthetrainwindow and #midcheshirerailwayline as well as tagging the partnership’s social media accounts.
Alternatively, photographs can be emailed to sandra.curties@midcheshire.org.uk Sarah added: “We have secured great prizes for each age category, two return tickets for anywhere along the west coast mainline, two return tickets for anywhere in the Northern Rail network and a voucher for four at Go Ape in Delamere Forest and tickets to Planet Ice.
“We are extremely grateful for photographer John Horsley for giving up his time to judge.”
The competition will go ahead unless rail strikes increase in frequency and prevent rail travel.
In this instance, the competition will be postponed to a later date.
