A CARER loved her job so much, she decided to launch her own company.
Sahira Hussain worked as a carer after graduating with a business degree.
However, seeing such a high turnover of staff due to poor working conditions, low pay and stress, she decided to take things into her own hands.

The 28-year-old now runs Visiting Angels Cheshire East, a franchise that operates as a home care agency looking after people in their own homes across Knutsford, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow.
Caring for others has always been in her blood.
Sahira, who lives at home with her parents, brother and sister, said: “I absolutely love caring for people.
“From caring for my grandparents when I was younger to looking after my siblings, putting others before myself has always been a big part of who I am.”
Carers she employs now feel valued and respected, she says, and are given more time to spend with clients.
Sahira said: “Our carers are treated right and paid well. They are at the top of the pyramid.
“We pay good rates and provide travel time, mileage and an annual car service.
“Carers get full training and their birthdays off every year.
“Visits are one hour, not a rushed 15 minutes, where they’re running round like headless chickens.
“We also try to match our carers with clients so they can see a friendly, consistent face, not 10 different people in a week.”
Sahira was inspired by her late grandad Adalat Hussain, 74.
“My grandad envisioned me becoming a nurse because he said I was good at caring for people,” she said.
“I didn’t want to go down that route but I’ve come to realise that I’m actually fulfilling that promise.
“By launching my own care business, I can impact more lives in my community than I ever could as a nurse.”
More than anything, Sahira wants to change the face of social care for the better and to make it accessible to everyone who needs it.
“I love seeing clients smile, talking to them, hearing about their stories and lives,” said Sahira.
“When I walk out and they are happy, I am happy.
“It’s not about me, I want to make their lives happy.
“I’m excited to bring a business that truly makes a positive impact and redefines the concept of care.
“My goal is to create a company where employees look forward to coming to work and delivering the care our community deserves.”
