STOLEN designer goods and jewellery were recovered during a police raid.
Two people, a 52-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods.
It comes following reports of a 'high-value' burglary at an address in Alderley Edge, believed to have happened sometime between Saturday (June 29) and Monday (July 1).
Following enquiries, officers executed a warrant at an address in Ashley Street, Hyde, where a number of the stolen items were recovered.
Detective Sergeant Steve Joyce of Macclesfield CID said: “Our investigation into this high-value burglary began on Monday, and by Tuesday, we had identified two suspects who were quickly arrested.
“This is thanks to a team effort between a number of units within the force, including the Eastern Proactive team, Serious and Organised Crime team, and Forensics teams in Cheshire.
"We work closely with Greater Manchester Police and target cross-border criminals committing crime in our county.
“This action highlights the effective teamwork and rapid action, resulting in the recovery of stolen goods for the victims.”
The two suspects have since been released on conditional bail.
