CHESHIRE gooseberry growers are once again preparing to put months of meticulous nurturing to the test.
Over Peover Gooseberry Society is holding their annual show at The Dog on Well Bank Lane at 2pm on Sunday, July 28.
Secretary Charlie Montaldo said: “We would love local people to come on down and support this historical tradition where members will be weighing their heaviest berries to win numerous trophies.

“There will also be an auction and raffle where many great prizes will be up for grabs.”
The society is raising money in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The society is looking for new members.
