POLICE have named a suspect charged with drink-driving after a car crashed into a hedge.
Mobberley resident Christine Dennis was arrested on June 20 after an incident in Townfield Road, which saw a car collide with a parked vehicle before ploughing into a bush.
Dennis, of Warford Park off Faulkners Lane, has since been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on July 25.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 7.09pm on Thursday police were called to a collision on Townfield Road, Mobberley.
“Officers attended and found a red Nissan Juke had collided with a parked car, a red Peugeot 206, and a hedge.
“There were no reports of any injuries, but the driver of the Nissan, a 69-year-old local woman, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
“Christine Dennis, of Warford Park, Faulkners Lane, has since been charged with drink driving.
“The 69-year-old has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on July 25.”

Neighbours were shocked at the crash.
One resident said: “It was like a scene from Emmerdale, everybody came out to see what had happened.
“Everyone was just in a bit of shock. Not because of what did happen but because of what could have happened.”
Another neighbour added: “It all happened so fast.
“I was putting my children to bed then there was this massive sound. My wife described it as steel bars falling off a lorry.”
