A NEW clinic specialising in the treatment of varicose veins has opened in Knutsford.
Last week, town crier Julie Mitchell proclaimed Veincentre officially open for business with and mayor Cllr Colin Banks on hand to cut the ribbon.
Five jobs have been created at the Bexton Road clinic, including a receptionist, staff nurses and vascular consultants.
With the opening of the Knutsford location, Veincentre now has 36 clinics across the country in London, Manchester and Glasgow to name a few.
Dr Ananth Krishnan, consultant vascular surgeon in Knutsford, said: "We were delighted to officially open Veincentre with the mayor and town crier.
"Knutsford is such a convenient location for our patients as it’s in the heart of Cheshire.
"Our procedures are walk in, walk out and patients can return to work the next day.
"Varicose veins affect 30 per cent of the population. Varicose veins cause both cosmetic and symptomatic distress and if left untreated can result in venous ulcers and varicose eczema."
The Veincentre clinic in Knutsford can be found at Victoria Court, in Bexton Road.
