THE occupant of a house has received first aid after fire broke out in their kitchen.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called out to an address in Windsor Avenue, Wilmslow, shortly after midday.
After gaining access to the property, which was full of smoke, crews discovered the blaze had been extinguished.
A fire service spokesman confirmed two Greater Manchester Fire Service crews assisted the Cheshire crew from Wilmslow sent to the scene.
He said: "Fire crews gained access to a smoke-logged property and took a hose reel jet for cover.
"Firefighters discovered the fire in the kitchen was out on arrival. One casualty received first aid treatment."
