A shocked resident who lives nearby told The Guardian: “I was mowing my front lawn when a massive load of earth went into the air from the house that had a big fire on Bucklow Avenue a few years ago.
“The full side of the house has collapsed, a real mess.”
Firefighters said the house was unoccupied and no-one was hurt.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters attended an incident where a semi-detached building had partially collapsed.
“The building was unoccupied and no-one was harmed.
“An inner cordon was put in place and crews monitored the area with a gas detector until the incident was handed over to the owner and engineers.”
The property was extensively damaged in November 2020 when a fire broke out.
A total of 14 fire engines fought the fire and crews were at the scene for more than 24 hours.
The occupants had manage to escape before firefighters arrived.
An investigation concluded the most probably cause of the fire was an electrical fault in the kitchen.
Villagers rallied round and donated more than £11,600 to support the family who lived n the house at the time.
