A PORSCHE driver clocked speeding has been hit with a £200 court penalty.
Benjamin Atkins, of Sandy Lane, Toft, Knutsford, was caught driving a Porsche on Salters Lane, Lower Withington, in excess of 30mph on November 17, last year.
The 49-year-old was caught driving over the speed limit by a manned device, Warrington Magistrates’ Court heard on May 23.
Atkins was fined £76 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
His driving licence was also endorsed with three points.
Magistrates took the defendant’s guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
Atkins was given until July 18 to pay the £196 court penalty.
