A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a 57-year-old died after a crash in Knutsford.
The charge relates to a collision involving two cars and a motorbike on Chester Road in Tabley back in November 2021.
The rider of the motorbike, Anthony Jones, from Stockport, tragically died the following day.
A 27-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident.
Dean McKeon, of Kings Weston Lane, Bristol, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday.
Here, he was conditionally bailed until a hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on June 12.
It comes after an inquest into the death of Mr Jones was held at Warrington Coroner’s Court on Wednesday.
But the senior coroner for Cheshire Jaqueline Devonish suspended the inquest for four months due to the ongoing criminal investigation.
At the time of the incident back in 2021, detectives issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward as they revealed they were following ‘numerous lines of enquiry’ as part of their investigation.
