A MISSING man was found dead in a wooded area of Holmes Chapel, the court heard.
On Wednesday, an inquest into the death of Philip Barker took place at Warrington Coroner’s Court.
During the hearing, it was heard how the 60-year-old was reported missing on December 7 last year.
But on December 12, Mr Barker, was sadly found deceased in a wooded area near to his home in Holmes Chapel.
Before offering her condolences to Mr Barker’s family and friends, senior coroner for Cheshire Jacqueline Devonish said that it is ‘likely’ that he intended to take his own life.
Mr Barker’s death was ruled as one of suicide.
