A WOMAN has been hit with a £1,000 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Anil Vasdev, 63, of Thistlewood Drive, Wilmslow, was found guilty of the offence at West Yorkshire Magistrates’ Court on April 23.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of a driver in Bradford on July 20, last year.
The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.
Magistrates found the case proved after listening to the evidence.
Vasdev was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £264 victim surcharge.
Her driving licence was also endorsed with six points.
Magistrates gave the defendant until May 14 to pay the £1,014 court bill.
