Long delays are being experienced on the M56 westbound near Knutsford due to a multi-vehicle crash.
Fire services and police are in attendance of the incident of a crash involving more than one vehicle between junction 6 A538 Wilmslow Road (Hale Four Seasons Roundabout) to Junction A556 Chester Road (Bowdon) this morning, Tuesday.
Traffic has been released but lanes one and two remain closed.
National Highways state delays are expected of up to 40 minutes and the scene is expected to clear by 9.45am.
