A MANCHESTER United footballer has denied dangerous driving.
Brandon Williams, currently on loan at Championship leaders Ipswich Town, will stand trial after pleading not guilty to two driving offences.
The 23-year-old, of Harpurhey, Manchester, is accused of driving an Audi A3 S Line on the A34 Ainslie Way in Wilmslow in a dangerous manner on August 20, 2023.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said at the time: "At around 6.20pm on Sunday, August 20, police were called to reports of a collision on the A34, Wilmslow, near to Total Fitness.
"Officers attended the scene and found the collision involved a grey Audi and a Ford Fiesta.
"The driver of the Audi was arrested at the scene and later released under investigation.
"Brandon Williams, 23, was later charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance."
The full-back, who has made 51 appearances for the Red Devils scoring one goal, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday (April 19) where he denied both charges - dangerous driving and driving without third-party insurance.
He will return to the court on the week commencing March 17, 2025, for trial.
His solicitors will deliver the grounds of his not-guilty plea to the court in June.
Williams has been granted unconditional bail until the date of the trial.
