A LORRY trailer was discovered ‘well alight’ at a service station on the M6.
Firefighters were called to a service area car park at Knutsford Services southbound at 4.40am this morning, Wednesday.
The cab had been disconnected before crews arrived.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A hose reel was used to extinguish the fire on the trailer, which was well alight.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to check the fire was fully out before crews left."
One fire engine from Lymm and one from Knutsford dealt with the incident.
