This was set up to continue the legacy of Dame Deborah James, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016, aged 35, and went on to become a tireless campaigner and fundraiser.
The Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK works to give more people more time with the people they love by funding cutting-edge research and raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer.
Deborah’s mum, Heather James said: “Deborah’s awareness raising and fundraising made a huge difference to the lives of so many people.
“Through this partnership with Omaze we hope to raise more money for the cutting-edge cancer research that she was so passionate about and help make a difference to the lives of many more.”
This is the second time Cancer Research UK has teamed up with Omaze who have guaranteed a minimum donation of £1 million from this partnership.
James Oakes, chief international officer at Omaze, said: “We’re very excited to be back where it all began for our 25th house in beautiful Cheshire and to be partnering with Cancer Research UK for a second time to support the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.
“By offering this stunning property, along with £100,000 in cash, Omaze gives people the chance to win life-changing prizes that can enable them to live mortgage or rent free lives.
“We’re tremendously proud that the Omaze community has already raised over £34 million for good causes across the UK.”.
The draw closes on Sunday, April 28 for online entries and Tuesday, April 30 2024 for postal entries.
