A CRYSTAL enthusiast has turned her passion for gemstones into a new career.
Nicky Facey opened a stall at Knutsford Market Hall a year ago after trading at the Christmas market.
The 39-year-old celebrated her first anniversary on Saturday with giveaways, competitions, special offers and free goody bags for children.

Nicky said: “My love for crystals started at a very young age.
“My mum bought me a Citrine ring and ever since that day I have loved them.
“I started my own business after being unhappy in a wide range of unfulfilling jobs.”
Nicky studied animal care at college and went on to work in hospitality and retail.
“I’ve always liked minerals,” she said.
“I was a diamond specialist and worked in a jewellers where we would build an engagement ring around a couple’s chosen diamonds.”
Now, Nicky feels she has found her perfect niche.
“This is much more than a business, it is my passion and an absolute dream for me,” she said.
“All of my crystals are hand selected and ethically sourced.
“I love interacting with customers and advising them.
“I love getting feedback from customers stating that the energy from Nyx Cat Crystals aren’t like anywhere else and I believe this is because I truly love what I do.
"I have received nothing but overwhelming support from fellow traders and customers since the moment that I arrived in the market.
"I have never felt so welcomed and part of the community."
Her beloved cat Russo inspired the name of her business and his silhouette forms her logo.
Future plans include a cat themed crystal exhibition in June.
Nicky said: “I am currently working on making the future prospects for my business exciting and original.
“I am very excited to attend a variety of events this year which will showcase new and unique ideas.
“I will be making bridal boxes and crystal wedding favours for wedding events.
“It doesn’t feel like a job to me.
“I cannot put into words how extremely grateful I am that I get to do what I love.”
