LAUGHTER, compassion and kindness has won a nursing home a prestigious accolade.
Tabley House Nursing Home in Knutsford has been recognised by the annual Care Home Awards as one of the top 20 care homes in the north west.
The awards are based on reviews left by family, friends and residents.

One daughter of a resident said: “Everything with the home was so nice.
“Mum loved to dance, all the staff danced with her. I cannot thank Tabley enough.”
The daughter of another resident said: “There is a wonderful homely atmosphere whatever time you visit, mixed with laughter, kindness and encouragement.
“Everyone is treated as an individual, with care, support and dignity.”
A daughter, whose dad has been in the home for a year, said: “The staff are very caring and have a great rapport with everyone.
“There is an overwhelming feeling of friendship and camaraderie between staff and residents.”
One woman said staff were ‘absolutely brilliant’ with her mother-in-law.
She said: “She was there for two months and was looked after beautifully.
“As she was leaving, she received lots of hugs and best wishes from the staff which shows the super relationships that had developed.”
A man whose wife was looked after at the home said: “I cannot speak too highly about all aspects of care and attention from all levels of staff and management.
“Every aspect of contact is treated with friendliness and confident attention.”
Tabley House manager Karen Lynskey said: “We are extremely pleased to have been recognised with this award.
“The entire team are focussed on delivering the best care for our residents, and it means a great deal that they, and their family members, have given such glowing reviews.
“The ethos here is to be a home away from home for our residents, with staff aiming to maintain and improve quality of life.
“We ensure that family and friends are involved with their loved ones care as much as possible, and it is great to hear through the reviews that we are achieving this.
“Having our hard work and dedication recognised in these awards makes myself, and the team, exceptionally proud.”
The home currently has 23 reviews from family and residents with an average score of 10 out of 10.
