SPEEDING through roadworks on a motorway landed a Wilmslow driver in court.
Kieran Lyons, of Caldy Road, Handforth, appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court, accused of exceeding a temporary speed limit when the case was heard on January 24.
The 38-year-old was caught on camera driving an Audi on the M60 anti-clockwise at junction 13 at 69mph on June 19, last year.
A temporary speed limit of 50mph was in place as work on the Manchester Smart Motorway Scheme was being carried out, the court heard.
Magistrates found the case proved after listening to the evidence.
Lyons was fined £440 and ordered to pay £176 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
His driving licence was endorsed with four points.
Lyons was given until March 6 to pay the £706 court penalty.
