A CHOIR is preparing to perform their ‘most ambitious’ programme ever.
Tatton Singers are getting ready for their spring concert which will take place on Saturday, March 23 at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Knutsford.
The choir is rehearsing Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 which they describe as their ‘most ambitious and exciting’ programme to date.

It is an incredibly difficult piece and could be the first time it has ever been put on in the town.
On stage the choir will be joined by Baroque in the North and The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble and promise to make the concert 'a truly momentous event'.

John Powell, the choir’s musical director, said: “Monteverdi's Vespers is a remarkable, though seldom performed, piece of music, which all lovers of choral music should experience at least once.
“If you have never heard this wonderful piece live, now is your chance.
“Come and experience the delights of cornetts and sackbuts, the exceptional playing of Baroque in the North, the talents of six of our favourite soloists and the sheer exuberance of Tatton Singers singing Monteverdi.”
