SELFISH drivers blocking pavements across Wilmslow have been fined.

Police are urging people to be more considerate when parking.

Four fixed penalty notices were issued to vehicles on Grove Street, Green Lane and Hawthorn Lane for obstruction.

Police advised a further three drivers about their parking and moved them on.

Posting on social media, a police spokesman said: “Vehicles have been issued with fixed penalty notices for fully parking on the pavement and causing unnecessary obstruction to pedestrians, wheelchair users and prams, forcing them to go onto busy roads.

“Drivers should be more considerate when parking their vehicles.”
