TRAINS were disrupted at the weekend as emergency crews were called to reports of a ‘casualty on the tracks’ at Handforth station.
British Transport Police said a person had been taken to hospital.
In a statement, a spokesman said: “Officers were called to Handforth railway station at around 10.15am on Saturday, January 27 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended and a person has been taken to hospital.”
Lines between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe were closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
