A DRIVER clocked speeding on a motorway has been banned from the road.
Richard May, of Milling Field, Holmes Chapel, pleaded guilty at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to exceeding the 70mph speed limit on the M62 in Bradford on December 1, last year and was sentenced on January 16.
The 38-year-old was caught on camera driving a vehicle between junctions 26 and 25 at a speed exceeding 70mph.
The defendant was fined £133 and ordered to pay £110 costs and £53 victim surcharge.
May was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 56 days.
His driving licence was also endorsed.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence.
May was given until February 13 to pay the £296 court penalty.
