A RECKLESS driver was clocked doing almost twice the speed limit on a busy road in Knutsford.
In a safety check, police caught 12 drivers speeding on Northwich Road where the speed limit is 30mph.
A radar gun recorded one driver hurtling along at 56mph.
A speed enforcement operation was carried out on Sunday.

Posting on social media, Knutsford Police said: “A speed enforcement operation was carried out on Northwich Road in Knutsford and 12 vehicles were caught driving over the speed limit by the Trucam device, with the fastest going at 56mph on a 30mph zone.
“Police advice is do not drive over the speed limit as other road users are put at risk including yourself.”
