Every week, the Knutsford Guardian publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have died.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Anne Peterson

The 90-year-old, of Plumley, died on at Mount Pleasant Nursing Home on December 12, 2023.

Anne was the loving wife of the late Duncan, a much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Funeral service on Monday, January 8, at The Birches Crematorium at 1pm.

Terence 'Terry' Moore

The 88-year-old, of Knutsford, died peacefully in a care home on December 23, 2023.

Terry was the devoted husband of Linda, much-loved dad of Caroline, David and Sally-Ann, and brother of the late Donald and Gill.

Private family committal followed by a service of thanksgiving and celebration for Terry's life at St Cross Church, Knutsford, on January 11 at noon.

Derek 'Del Boy' Thompson

The 91-year-old, of Knutsford, died peacefully on January 1 at Sharston House Nursing Home with his family at his side.

Proud Yorkshireman Derek was the much-loved partner of Marge, dad of Paul, Helen and Carole, father-in-law of Michelle and Miles, and a very sadly missed grandad and great-grandad.

Jean Hume

The 86-year-old, of Knutsford and latterly Tabley House Nursing Home, died suddenly, but peacefully on December 22, 2023, at Macclesfield Hospital after a very short illness.

Jean was the beloved wife of Roger, very much-loved mum of Sally and Elaine, mother-in-law of Paul and Mark, also a sadly missed grandma, great-grandma and aunty.

Funeral service at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, on Wednesday, January 10, at 1pm. Black clothing not necessary. Family flowers only please.
