A DRIVER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his car hit a tree.
Officers on patrol in Knutsford came across the collision on Chelford Road at 8.50pm on Monday, December 18.
Firefighters rescued a man found trapped inside a black Mazda and handed the person to the care of paramedics.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was taken to Manchester Royal infirmary.”
The crash scene was cleared by 11pm.
Two fire engines from Wilmslow and Lymm dealt with the incident.
