POLICE urge drivers to reduce their speed ‘to avoid any catastrophic consequences’.
The warning comes as the latest road safety check carried out today, Saturday, caught eight drivers speeding.
Officers armed with a radar gun clocked drivers exceeding the speed limit on Northwich Road in Knutsford.

One driver was caught driving at 41mph in a 30mph zone.
Posting on social media, Knutsford Police said: “A speed enforcement operation has been carried out on Northwich Road in Knutsford today, and eight vehicles were caught speeding with the fastest going at 41mph on a 30mph zone.
“Police advice: please reduce your speed when driving to avoid any catastrophic consequences.”
This warning comes just weeks after drivers have been clocked speeding on neighbouring roads.
