KNUTSFORD could be in line to host a soapbox derby.
Krazy Races is looking for a new home in Cheshire after Northwich Town Council decided not to host the popular event next summer.
The winner of this year’s race, Adam Wilkinson from Cheshire Roof Repairs, is hoping to see the Knutsford pick up the baton.
He said: “It was absolutely fantastic!
“We had all the staff involved and their families as well, we had so much feedback after from people who loved the event.
“I think it is a great idea for the locals and for businesses, it provides advertising and helps us connect with the community.”

Sarah Belcher Events Limited, the company behind Krazy Races, has said they are looking at alternative locations in Cheshire for next year.
Danny Scoffin, head of brand and strategic development, said that while he cannot reveal who they in discussions with, he has confirmed that they have had “a series of very promising meetings with a major Cheshire Town who would be looking at hosting an event in July - the date we had earmarked for Northwich.”
Mr Scoffin added: “Our aim is to bring our brand of Krazy, wacky fun to as many people across the country as possible, creating unique memories that last a lifetime while helping rejuvenate high streets up and down the country.
“Northwich was my local Krazy Races location so I am personally committed to replacing the Northwich event with another Cheshire location to give our Northwich audience a great day out that isn’t too far away."
A Knutsford Town Council spokesperson said they have not been approached about hosting a Krazy Races event but would added they would "happily" explore such an event with the organisers.
Several Krazy Races dates have already been confirmed for 2024.
Stockport and Warrington will both host events, on May 28 and June 9 respectively.
There will also be races in Shrewsbury (May 26) and Wolverhampton (September 1).
Further information, including how to enter a team, can be found on the Krazy Races website.
