A DRIVER clocked speeding on the motorway at 81mph has been banned from the road.
Richard May, of The Millingfield, Holmes Chapel, was caught on camera on March 1, this year, driving a vehicle westbound on the M62 in Bradford at 81mph.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty when the case was heard at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on October 13.
An automatic camera recorded the excess speed between junctions 26 and 25.
The speed limit for the motorway is 70mph.
May was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
The disqualification is obligatory ‘due to repeat offending’, the court heard.
