It follows a spate of incidents in which parents were fined for parking on zigzag lines outside schools across Knutsford and Wilmslow.
Officers are urging drivers to be more considerate.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Vehicles were issued with fixed penalty notices for fully parking on the pavements, causing unnecessary obstruction by forcing pedestrians, wheelchairs and prams on to the road.”
Police can penalised drivers if they deem parking to be dangerous on in any way causing an obstruction.
A fixed penalty notice includes a fine and sometimes penalty points can be added to your licence.
