A CHAMPION gooseberry grower is celebrating another victory.
Jim Hart won the Crown of Peover Gooseberry Show for the second year running.
The veteran grower won a trophy with a Millennium Berry weighing in at 29 pennyweights 6 grains.

Last year, Jim produced a yellow berry of the Millennium variety weighing in at 30 pennyweights and 2 grains.
Show secretary Mike Godfrey said: “Jim is a well known gardener and gooseberry grower from Knutsford and has had a lot of success at this show and also the Allostock Show which is held at The Duncow Inn.
“In second and third places were Keith Tickle and Peter Riley.
“Angela Ashcroft, of Lower Peover, won the trophy for most improved grower.
“In only her second year with the show, she won fifth place with an Edith Cavell Berry weighing 16 pennyweights 12 grains.”
