A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered ‘serious’ injuries in a crash at the busy double roundabout in Holmes Chapel.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the George & Dragon pub, at the junction of Middlewich Road and Knutsford Road, at 7.58 pm last night (July 11).
The collision involved a motorbike and a car.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews also attended, helping to close the road and check both vehicles for safety.
Firefighters gave first aid to one person, before passing them to the care of waiting paramedics, who transported the patient to hospital.
The road was closed for almost two and a half hours because of the crash.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: "At 7.58pm on Tuesday, July 11, police were called to a collision between a car and a motorbike at the junction of Middlewich Road and Knutsford Road, Holmes Chapel.
"The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital with injuries which are thought to be serious.
"Both vehicles were recovered from the scene. The road reopened at around 10.40pm."
