A ROAD has been placed under emergency closure due to a fallen tree.
Tabley Road in Knutsford has been closed due to a tree blocking the way.
Around 7.15am yesterday (June 24), residents discovered the closure and found an old tree had fallen in the road.
The tree fell near the junction with Manchester Road, and blocked the entire path through. The emergency closure was in place for much of the morning.
As of this morning, the tree has been cleared with residents saying emergency services moved quickly and efficiently to prevent a traffic backlog and re-open the road.
Tabley Road has now been re-opened, with traffic having returned to normal.
