THERE are one-hour delays on the M6 this morning, Monday, following a crash that resulted in a lorry catching fire.
Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance, were called to the scene between junction 19, Knutsford, and junction 20, Lymm, at around 7.50am.
On arrival, crews found the lorry to be ‘well alight’ and a hose reel jet was used to tackle it.
Traffic was temporarily held as a result of the incident and lanes two and three, of three, were closed and remain closed for inspection.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Please allow extra time for your journey as there are delays of 60 minutes on the approach.”
