FIVE fire crews have been tackling a blaze involving multiple vehicles - including cars, tractors, boats and trailers - in Mobberley this afternoon, Tuesday.
Shortly after 12.15pm firefighters were called to Pavement Lane after reports of a number of different vehicles on fire at a farm.
The location is believed to be listed as Springwood Farm, according to the Cheshire Fire Service Incidents page.
As of 2.25pm, a spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two hose reels are currently in use by firefighters at the incident.
“Police are in attendance and have closed the road to allow for a water shuttle to operate.
“A bowser is being set up to help get more water to the fire.”
An update from the fire service at 3.30pm reads: “Crews are continuing to damp down several vehicles and nearby woodland at this incident and are using two hose reels.
“This incident will be updated when more information becomes available.”
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 12.45pm on Tuesday, May 30, police were called to reports of a fire at a farm on Pavement Lane.
“The incident is reported to involve a number of vehicles, including cars, tractors, boats and trailers, which are well alight.
“Firefighters are tackling the blaze, which is believed to be accidental at this time.
“Police attended to assist with the closure of Pavement Lane, however they have since left the scene.”
