A DRIVER clocked speeding is appealing against a road ban which was imposed due to his 'repeat offending'.
Stephen Brookes, of Pickmere Road, Handforth, Wilmslow, pleaded guilty at Manchester Magistrates Court on May 9 to exceeding the motorway speed limit.
The 64-year-old was caught on camera driving a Lexus on the M66 northbound at Bury between the M60 at junction 19 and the M66 at junction three at 59mph on June 6, last year.

Brookes was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months ‘due to repeat offending’, the court heard.
But the disqualification has been suspended pending an appeal.
The driver was also fined £409 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £165 victim surcharge.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration when the sentence was imposed.
Brookes was granted permission to pay the £644 court penalty at a rate of £100 per month, starting on June 6.
