A MAN was taken to hospital after being assaulted near the funfair in Knutsford.
An 18-year-old sustained head injuries in an attack on Manchester Road at 5pm on Coronation Day, Saturday, May 6.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Police were made aware of an altercation on Manchester Road.

“Officers attended and an 18-year-old man was found to have been assaulted and sustained a head injury to his head.
“The man was taken to hospital by his parents.
"An 18-year-old man from Hale was arrested in relation to the assault.
"The man has since been released without charge for that offence."
However, another man, Lewis Baker, 18, of Clarke Crescent, Hale, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 23.
