A MAN was spotted swapping plates on a vehicle on the M6 in Cheshire.
The motorist alerted the police who apprehended the offender on Friday morning and discovered the vehicle had been stolen.
Officers from Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit stopped the car at junction 19 in Knutsford on the M6.
Officers posted on social media: “Excellent work from the RCU.
“Stolen vehicle stopped at junction 19 on the M6.
“Male had been seen swapping plates by a member of the public.
“Thank you for the report and helping us make Cheshire a hostile place for criminals.”
