KNUTSFORD Storm are champions!
The Knutsford Junior Netball Club under 16s team proved to be the cream of the crop in North West Netball League Division One, with matches played at Stockport Ball Hall.
Storm’s players dominated the competition in what is described as a mark of all their hard work.
Club officials say the energetic, spirited, charismatic, dedicated team, who have been together for more than four years, built on their runners-up position of the previous season.
Following a highly competitive six-month winter campaign the team came out on top and are now preparing for their promotion in to the Premier Division.
Under new Knutsford Junior Netball Club head coach, Clare Hughes, and under 16s coach, Christina Stubbs, Storm have developed into a formidable force.
The girls have built up a bond on and off the court from their time together at the club and the focus on increasing their skills across multiple positions has been key to their success.
Clare said: “The introduction of varied training across core netball skills, tactical awareness, strength and conditioning activities into the Knutsford Junior Netball Club is benefiting all our squads from under 12s through to our under 16s teams.”
