A TEENAGER has been convicted of assaulting a man at Wilmslow railway station.
The 17-year-old, from Alderley Edge, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Manchester Youth Court on April 13 for sentencing.
The defendant, who had pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing, had been accused of assaulting a man by beating him on May 8, last year.

After listening to the evidence, magistrates found the case proved.
The teenager was fined £475 and ordered to pay £120 costs, £50 compensation and £22 victim surcharge.
Magistrates gave him until June 15 to pay the £667 court penalty.
