RESIDENTS are being urged to step up security following a spate of burglaries and vehicle thefts.
Officers from Operation Fierce have been speaking to residents on Gravel Lane in Wilmslow.
Police are offering crime prevention advice to help make homes and garages more secure.
PCSO James Morris, from Wilmslow West and Chorley Police, posted on social media: "There are many useful options for keeping your property safe from thieves.
"Thank you to all the residents who spent time talking to us in the r ain and wind.
"We'll be back to visit those we haven't seen in the coming weeks."

It comes as thieves target high value vehicles, breaking into properties to steal car keys.
A Porsche and BMW were among the latest vehicles to be stolen from a private driveway.
Burglars broke into a house on Gorsey Road in Wilmslow between 1.20am and 2.30am on Saturday, April 8.
Intruders also helped themselves to jewellery.
A blue Porsche and grey BMW were driven away.
Just one hour earlier, a BMW 135i, VW transporter camper van and Renault Twingo were driven off from a house on Aylesbury Close in Knutsford.
Police are investigating and appealing for information.
Drivers are being urged to review their security and never leave keys on display at home.
Anyone with information or CCTV footage about the Porsche theft should call Cheshire police on 101 quoting IML 1520097 or IML1519024 regarding the BMW incident.
