FASHION inspired by Milan is coming to Cheshire.
Milania Boutique is opening on King Street, Knutsford, this weekend.
The business is a dream come true for Northwich mum-of-two Lisa Davy.
Bursting with excitement, the 43-year-old said: “It means the absolute world to me after years of thinking about the idea.
“Growing up in an Italian family, it was always going to be food or fashion.
“Even though the delicious flavours captured by tastebuds, it was the culture of fashion that captured my heart.”
As well as a unique range of clothes, the new shop will also stock scarves, accessories, pashminas, jewellery, bags and shoes.
Customers will experience something really special when they step inside.
Lisa said: “The quirky lines of Milan inspired fashion as well as the contemporary and modern luxury feel of the store will make it feel different.
“We will offer women on-trend styles to suit all ages and figures.”
As son Marcello and daughter Sophia are now settled in school, Lisa is embarking on an exciting new career, with support from husband Chris.
Lisa, who has retail business experience, said: “With a banking background and inspiration from involvement of business start ups, I now find myself pursuing my dream of opening a gorgeous boutique inspired by my love for Milan.”
After signing the lease only three months ago, it has been a labour of love to transform the premises into her designer store.
Vibrant Italian prints, patterns and colours will capture the fun and energy of the Milan catwalk.
Lisa plans to host special event evenings to offer customers a more personal shop with a glass of bubbly and discounts.
“I have been visiting Knutsford frequently for years for shopping trips and dining with family and friends,” she said.
“I fell in love with the history and heritage of the town.
“I just knew it was where I wanted to open a ladies clothing boutique.
“I feel it’s the perfect location for talented independent businesses.”
A private ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with local celebrities on Friday evening to launch the boutique.
Lisa looks forward to welcoming her first customers on Saturday.
