A MAN watched in horror as a HGV overturned after coming round a sharp bend outside his home.
Minutes earlier, Alan Jackson was about to open his gate but turned round to lock his back door.
The crash happened at around 3.45pm yesterday, Tuesday, on Holmes Chapel Road near Whipping Stocks Inn at Over Peover in Knutsford.

The articulated truck ended up on its side.
“Had I not turned back to lock the door I’d probably have been under it,” said Alan, of Manor Farm.
“This is the occupational hazard of living on a main road.”
Fortunately, the driver also escaped unhurt.
“The driver was fine,” said Alan. “He just opened the door and climbed out.
“He was completely unscathed.”
The road was closed for more than four hours until a specialist team with heaving lifting gear recovered the vehicle.
Diversions were in place whilst the main road from Seven Sisters to the Mangoletsi garage was cordoned off.
“This is the fourth vehicle involved in an accident there in three weeks,” said Alan.
“Three cars were in a collision in the ice and a car was set on fire the other week.
“It is a sharp bend. Signs are there but I think that drivers are taking it too fast.”
Cheshire police have confirmed that officers were called to reports that a HGV had overturned just before 3.45pm on Tuesday..
A police spokesman said: “As a result, a telegraph pole had also been knocked down.
“No injuries were sustained.
“Road closures were in place nearby while recovery took place.”
