A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a car crashed into a shop as ice caused treacherous road conditions.
Police were called after a white BMW collided with the front of Boutique D’Or on Kings Street, beside Church Hill.
The crash happened at around 8.40am on Thursday morning.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “There were no reports of any injuries and the car has since been moved.
“There is not believed to be any structural damage and boarding has been arranged.”
Harriet Henry, who owns The Tea Room, warned drivers on social media of the treacherous icy conditions.
Sharing a picture of the car crash, Harriet said: "Stay off Church Hill. It’s not been closed and this car has crashed."
