A WOMAN was trapped in a Mercedes after a three-car crash.
The front seat passenger, a woman in her 80s, was rescued by firefighters after the collision on the A34 Maclean Way in Wilmslow.
Emergency crews were called shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday, January 3, following reports of a crash involving a white Mercedes, a white Volkswagen and a grey BMW.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: ”Crews used specialist equipment to remove the door from the vehicle in order to extract the casualty.
“They were then passed over the ambulance crew and taken to hospital.”
Police say the woman was taken to Macclesfield District General Hospital for further checks.

Firefighters made the vehicle safe and were at the scene for around two hours.

Two fire engines from Wilmslow and Poynton dealt attended the incident.
