A MODEL is making her debut in a new reality game show.
Millie Thompson, from Knutsford, will be starring in an action-packed race, ‘Loaded in Paradise’, to be aired on the new streaming service ITVX, on Wednesday, December 28.
The 28-year-old year old will be seen hopping round Greece’s Aegean Islands with her friend, Amelia Bell, 22, in a thrilling adventure.
The girls are up against four other pairs competing to gain control of a gold card, which gives one couple 50,000 euros to spend every day.
The other teams have to struggle on a basic daily allowance of just 30 euros.
The adrenalin-packed show is a mix between Hunted, Race Across The World with aspects of Love Island.
“It is very dramatic and intense,” said Millie, an account assistant at a civil engineering company in Knutsford.
Only one couple can have the gold card at any one time, while the others hunt them down.
“When you’ve got the gold card, you live like a Greek goddess,” said Millie.
“You have 50,000 euros to spend on whatever you want as long as you don’t get caught.
“We had a great time. You look at a menu and whereas you’d usually only order one dish, you can take the lot!
“You’re living the dream. We stayed in pure paradise.”
However, while you’re splashing out on your spending spree, she said, you can’t relax for a minute.
“You’re constantly looking over your shoulder,” said Millie. “You’re fighting for survival. All your instincts kick in.
“You’re always thinking tactically. It’s like solving puzzles.
“You have to have a hunger for it, it totally drives you, it’s amazing.
“When you have the gold card, you have to make sure you don’t lose it.
“Because we are both blonde, we felt there was a stereotype that we had to prove ourselves. You can be blonde and have brains!
“We came up with disguises, we had a game plan.
“Every day there is a different twist.
“I found that you always had to go with your gut feeling, it’s amazing how right that is all the time.”
The former Knutsford High School pupil won a place at one of the top three drama schools in the UK, Guildford School of Acting.
Millie graduated with a degree in performing arts and competed in a Miss Manchester contest, where she won the title Top Model and raised money for the homeless.
Millie and Amelia were approached by a casting director to take part in the show.
“It is something totally different that has never been done before,” said Millie, a social media influencer and Instagram model.
“It was so much fun and has helped with my confidence.
“It has given me so many amazing opportunities.
“Honestly, it was the best experience of my entire life.”
