NOSTALGIC pictures of classic travel posters have inspired people to discover new places.
The Friends of Handforth Station (FoHS) organised an art trail in the village at the end of Summer.
Some 30 pictures by local artist Eamonn Murphy, illustrating stations across Cheshire and local places of interest were displayed around Handforth.

People were invited to enter a competition to identify where the various images were exhibited.
The winners of the competition were delighted to meet Eamonn at Handforth Christmas lights switch-on event.
He presented each of them a signed print of the picture of their choice.
Winner Oliver Sheehan,13, said: “I chose a picture of a train because I love travelling on trains and it reminds me of the freedom I have to go to different places using the train”.
Barbara Fenner, who chose a scene of a Marple Lock, said “Thank you so much for the lovely prize.
"It was an unexpected surprise because I was a last-minute entrant.”
Jenny Barnes, chairman hair of FoHS, said “Eamonn’s wonderful pictures, owned by the Crewe to Manchester Community Railway Partnership, are moving from town to town in the area.
"We are very grateful to local shops and businesses for participating in the Art Trail.
“This initiative is part of our efforts to link the Handforth community to its railway station and to help encourage knowledge and use of the local train line.”
